APPLYING FOR GRANTS
The Ashland Rotary Community Support Foundation invites worthy community projects and organizations to apply for a grant. Absent exceptional circumstances, the Foundation considers grant requests at one time, usually in the late spring of each year. We attempt to look for uses of funds that will most significantly benefit our community. While regional projects and organizations are considered, grants that will positively impact life in Ashland are of special interest. While any compelling request will be considered, some of the Foundation's top priorities are the support of our community's youth, and providing support to those less fortunate, including outstanding senior programs.
No particular form is required to apply; a simple letter clearly identifying the requesting organization, the nature of its work, its track record, and the specific use(s) to which requested funds would be put will suffice. Helpful supporting materials may, of course, be included. Letters may be sent to the Foundation at P.O. Box 511, Ashland, OR 97520. Deadline for 2010 grant applications is April 22, 2010.
If an applicant has 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, it should say so in its application, but this is not required. Where applicable, the possibility of helping obtain matching funds may be a factor in our consideration. We do not make grants to or for the sole benefit of individuals, however worthy the cause; and multi-year commitments are generally not favored.
