Holiday Dinner
The Rotary Club of Ashland has for many years hosted a Holiday Dinner for local senior citizens. The Holiday Dinner was held at Windmill Inn until it closed, and now is held at the Historic Ashland Armory.
In 2010, the event will be held Wednesday the first of December. The evening dinner will also serve as the regular club meeting for that week. We will not meet on the 2nd and encourage all members to attend the Holiday Dinner that evening. Rotarians assist in the pick up and return of guests to their care centers or residences.
Holiday entertainment is provided by Ashland Rotarians under the direction of Marty Levine, and includes the opportunity for senior guests to sing along as an entertainer goes from table to table with a microphone.
Near the end of the evening, Santa, assisted by students from Rotary’s Interact Club at Ashland High School, walks among the tables distributing favors to the guests as the “Rotary Orchestra” (club members) plays Here Comes Santa Claus.
