Ashland Rotary Run for Polio
The 2nd Annual Ashland Rotary Run takes place on, Saturday, 2 October 2010. It begins and ends at Lithia Park in Ashland. The event included a5 and 10 K run and walk.
This year the Rotary Run will be dedicated to raising scholarships for the Ashland Rotary Foundation for Ashland High and SOU students.
More than 175 runners and walkers participated in the first Rotary Run for Polio in 2009. A Pancake Breakfast was free to anyone who participated after the event.
A total of $13,500 was raised to support Rotary International's worldwide polio eradication efforts. When matched by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the total comes to more than $35,000. Thank you all.
