Rotary Club of Ashland Guidelines

For Transitioning To In-person and Hybrid Meetings

Following new guidance issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Governor announced on May 13, 2021 that fully vaccinated Oregonians no longer need to wear masks or social distance in most public spaces. In addition, the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) provided “Interim Guidance for Fully Vaccinated Individuals” on May 18, 2021. These guidelines are subject to change as guidance from OHA and the Governor’s office may dictate revisions to these guidelines.

When in-person meetings resume in Wesley Hall or other temporary location and RCA has permission to meet there, fully vaccinated people may attend without wearing masks or social distancing. These eased restrictions will be implemented on the honor system and the 4-way Test unless there is credible evidence to suggest otherwise. Those who present themselves without masks to attend meetings and events are affirming they are fully vaccinated.

One is fully vaccinated when at least two weeks have passed from the second shot of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines (and one shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine). No verbal, written, or other verification of full vaccination is required. Those who are not fully vaccinated or are unvaccinated are equally welcomed and encouraged to attend in-door meetings and gatherings, but they must continue to wear masks at all times and observe social distancing.

The club will make best efforts to live stream (hybrid) RCA meetings in order for everyone to have the opportunity to attend remotely. Rotary will continue to do its best to ensure the safety of all of those attending Rotary meetings and events, but this will require patience, understanding, and cooperation on the part of everyone.
